Z-Rex Speedrun Guide — Sub-10 Minutes Possible?!
Sup speed freaks,Been labbing the Z-Rex fight for the past week and I’m here to say — sub-10 minute kills are 100% doable in bo6 bot lobby Zombies with the right setup and strat. It’s all about optimizing Phase 1 and cheesing Phase 3.
Pre-Fight Setup:
Use the Graviton Beam Rifle (Pack-a-Punched x3) and bring the Cryo Freeze ammo mod.
Equip the Field Upgrade that boosts damage output (Frenzied Focus).
Don’t waste time farming perks you don’t need. Jugger-Nog + Speed Cola + Deadshot Daiquiri only.
Fight Breakdown:
Phase 1:
Use Graviton Beam and hard focus the Z-Rex’s chest plates.
Ignore minions (they barely spawn here).
Stay super close to bait his stomp attack — it leaves him open longer.
Phase 2:
When the undead raptors spawn, pop your Field Upgrade + nuke them instantly.
Hit weak spots while moving clockwise around the arena (never stand still).
Phase 3:
Here's the cheese: Lure Z-Rex into TWO activated electric traps at once.
The damage stacks and shreds through his final health bar while you keep shooting.
My current best: 10:24(And I made a few mistakes, so I’m confident sub-10 is on the table.)
Extra Tip:There’s a hidden damage boost if you manage to shoot BOTH eyes within 5 seconds. It’s super tight timing but it chunks like 10% HP immediately.
